New patients welcome — early-morning & evening appointments available.

We prioritise communication with our patients, actively involving you in treatment planning and decision-making. Having imaging in-house saves you time and helps us explain why, what and how treatment is done.

What we offer

Dental Imaging at Optimal Dental Care

01

Intra-oral Camera

“A picture speaks a thousand words.” High-quality images from the intra-oral camera help us communicate and educate, rather than asking you to simply trust what’s been done. We take pride in showing before-and-after images of our work.

02

Dental X-rays

Our digital X-rays are extremely low in radiation and provide diagnosis of problems that a clinical examination alone may miss. Digital sensors give instant imaging at the lowest practical dose, and we keep the frequency conservative and tailored to each individual.

03

CBCT Scan & OPG

Our OPG is excellent for viewing the whole upper and lower jaw to monitor and detect anomalies, while the 3D CBCT scan provides a complete diagnostic image for more complex planning.

Frequently asked questions

Dental imaging refers to techniques used to capture images of the teeth, jawbone and surrounding structures for diagnosis or treatment planning.

It helps detect and diagnose issues such as cavities, gum disease, impacted teeth and jawbone abnormalities, and supports planning for procedures like implants, orthodontics and root canals.

Dental X-rays emit low levels of radiation and are considered safe when used appropriately. We take precautions to minimise exposure, including lead aprons and digital imaging.

It depends on your age, oral health and risk factors. Adults may need them every 1–2 years, while higher-risk patients may need them more often.

CBCT provides detailed 3D images of the teeth, jawbone, nerve pathways and surrounding structures — useful for more complex cases such as implants or orthodontics.

No — imaging is a diagnostic tool used alongside a regular exam. A comprehensive examination by a dentist is still essential for complete assessment.
